Trade Show Photo Booth

How Can Selfie Station Help Brands Generate Leads at Trade Shows?

A photo booth generates trade show leads by giving visitors a reason to stop, then asking for their email or phone number before they get their photo. Selfie Station rents two booths for exhibitors: the Pro, with an attendant, prints and your branding, and the Mini, a self-service booth that ships free nationwide. Both collect emails and phone numbers, and every quote depends on your show dates, location and options.

Why is lead capture hard at a trade show?

Exhibit halls are crowded, and most visitors have a plan before they walk in. Business card bowls and sign-up sheets work, but they ask people to do something for you first. A photo booth flips that: the visitor gets something fun, and your team gets a way to follow up.

How does a photo booth capture leads?

The flow is simple, and visitors do not need instructions:

  1. A visitor walks up and takes a photo, GIF or short video with your branded frame.
  2. Before they get it, the booth asks for an email address or phone number.
  3. They receive their photo by text or email, and the Pro can also print it on the spot.
  4. After the show, you have a list of contacts to follow up with.

Visitors choose whether to share their details. Because they get a photo they actually want, many are happy to. Tell us up front that you want lead capture, and let us know what you need to collect, so it is ready on show day.

Can a photo booth really bring people to your booth?

A booth gives walk-by traffic a reason to turn in. Visitors see others posing with props and branded frames, and the line itself draws attention. While people wait their turn, your team can start conversations, hand out materials or book meetings. You are no longer cold-approaching strangers in the aisle.

It also helps during slow stretches, such as the hour after lunch or the gap between keynote sessions, when a booth keeps your space active.

If your team is already stretched across demos and meetings, the Pro is the easier choice because the attendant runs the booth for you. The Mini works well when you are exhibiting outside our staffed cities or want a smaller setup that your own team can manage. Our trade show photo booth rental page covers both.

How do you brand the photos?

Every photo can carry your logo, show name, colors and hashtag, so shared photos advertise your company beyond the exhibit hall. Options include a custom graphic frame, a step-and-repeat or other backdrop, custom machine graphics and themed props. Green screen is also available if you want to place visitors in a scene tied to your product.

How much floor space does a booth need?

Both the Pro and the Mini have a compact footprint. Our booths use an open-air design, so visitors do not need an enclosure. Send us your booth number, size and any exhibitor rules when you request a quote, and we will confirm the space and power needed.

How do you get a booth to a trade show in another city?

For shows in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, we staff the Pro at your booth. You can see more about our local service on our Los Angeles and Orange County pages.

For a convention in another city, the Mini ships free to you a few days before the show and goes back with the included return label. We also have staffed Pro rentals in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, New York, New Jersey, Orlando, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Phoenix, Atlanta and Chicago. Check your show’s exhibitor rules for delivery addresses and dates, and tell us where the booth should arrive.

What should you do with the leads after the show?

A photo is a warm reason to reach out. Send a short follow-up within a few days that mentions the show, includes a link to the visitor’s photo or the online gallery, and says what you would like to talk about. Keep it relevant and easy to opt out of.

The online gallery is also useful for your own recap posts and for planning next year’s show.
